WHEN THE STREETLIGHTS TURN ON
A Collection of Short Stories for the Horror Enthusiast
True terror is found where we least expect it; it catches you off guard like a shrill wind on an autumn day. As the sun sinks down, casting shadows on radium lawns, suburbia turns into a place of horrifying reality. As you walk under flickering street lights, you hear the whine of a rusty swing set; its sad song piercing the night. Darkness surrounds you as you pick up the pace; neighborhood trees reach and grab at you. In the daylight this scene is wholesome; at night something much darker comes from within. As you pull your covers over your ears, don’t think twice about the howling wind, or the soft scratching on your window. After all, do you know what happens when the streetlights turn on?
